Winchester Dam, the site of the biggest fish kill on an Oregon River this year, was condemned in 1976. It provides no hydropower, irrigation, or flood control. It contaminates the drinking water for one out of three county residents and is an impassable barrier to migratory native fish.

How did a few of the wealthiest people in one of the poorest counties in Oregon hijack the number one steelhead river in North America? This program addresses the hypocrisy of the Winchester Dam – the most dangerous and illegal dam in Oregon.

This highly informative event is free to the public and wheelchair accessible. All are welcome to attend. Ample time is allotted for questions from the audience. Refreshments will be served.
