The condemned and uninsurable Winchester Dam is the last remaining dam in the United States built out of pressure treated and creosote treated lumber. It’s also one of the last obstacles to the free passage of salmon and steelhead on the North Umpqua River, and a health hazard to residents of Douglas County.

On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, Adam Miller, president of the Forever Flowing Foundation was Mike Green’s guest on Jefferson Public Radio’s “The Jefferson Exchange.”
